Collective Energy is a thought-provoking experience that asks you to act fast to save a cosmic ball of energy from pollution. After continual inevitable failure, you will be assisted by an unseen force to help you keep this energy from imploding…
Development
This game was developed for a University Brief at SAE where we were required to find meaning in an art piece chosen by us. I chose Stuart Haygarth’s piece, Optical which was made from recycled optical lenses. I explore the concept of worldwide unity and how without it, climate change will eventually cause the downfall of our earth. It can provoke thought about accepting each individuals agency despite the diversity found around the world and working together towards a common goal.
I developed all of the systems, created all of the artwork, ran playtest sessions, and engaged in iterative design. Work was done remotely, using Zoom for class workshops, Hackn’Plan for task tracking, and GitLab/ Sourcetree for source control.
